Best time to Visit (When to go and climate)

In India the climatic factors are so diverse that it is impossible to choose a meteorological period better than others for the trip, but, in principle, in most of the country, the most pleasant months are those that go from October to March.

 In the far south the monsoons mean that, tendingly, the best time goes from January to September, while Sikkim and northeastern India are more attractive from March to August and Kashmir and the mountainous regions of Himachal Pradesh are more practicable.

Between May and September. The deserts of Rajasthan and the northwestern Himalayan region offer the best of themselves in the monsoon season. The trekking season in the Indian Himalayas lasts roughly from April to November, although it varies greatly depending on the course, the altitude and the region. The sky is very clear very good season is from January to March. 

How to Reach India

The main international airports of India are Mumbai (Bombay) and Delhi, but many international flights also arrive in Calcutta and Chennai (Madras). Generally flights from Europe arrive in India early in the morning, which can be quite uncomfortable if you have not booked the hotel and you do not like wandering in the dark for an unknown city.

It is quite easy to travel by air between Calcutta and Dhaka. The only border currently open between India and Pakistan is located between Lahore and Amritsar. The crossing can take place by train or by road; at other points, the border can only be crossed by road. There is currently a bus service between Lahore and Delhi that operates four trips a week. 

Phuentsholing is the point of entry and exit border between India and Bhutan, but it is necessary to have a butanese visa to enter the country that must be requested at least 15 days before embarking on the trip to an agency accredited by the Bhutan Department of Tourism ( Thanks to the 2006 cease-fire, the border between India and Nepal has been reopened.
